Founded in 1879, they have a strong history for such a small club, spending twenty-four seasons in the top division. Although they have never won a major honour, they have contested in two memorable finals including the FA Cup in 1975, where they lost to London rivals West Ham Utd, and more recently their fantastic run to the Europa League Final where they lost to Athletico Madrid in Hamburg, 2010.
